INCLUSION CANADA NEWFOUNDLAND AND LABRADOR'S BUILDING BLOCKS PROJECT

The Navigator role is supported through a Building Block project with Inclusion Canada. The Navigator works with supported employment agencies to identify gaps in service for individuals with intellectual disabilities and/or autism spectrum disorder (ASD). The Navigator now receives referrals from employment agencies and employment counselors who have individuals who need additional support. Individuals can also self-referral to work with the Navigator on skills needed for employment. Some of the supports that the Navigator provides individuals are soft skills in the workplace, attending appointments, and making connections to additional supports within the community.
